Transfers2 Secure Data Transfer Platform
Last updated: 18 August 2026

1. About Transfers2

Transfers2 is a technology platform designed to enable fast and efficient transfer of digital files and data between users.

Transfers2 operates primarily as an automated technical infrastructure provider. The service is designed to facilitate the transfer of data without permanently storing user content.

By accessing or using Transfers2, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy and agree to be bound by them to the extent permitted by applicable law.

2. Nature of the Service

Transfers2 provides a technical data-transfer service and operates as a neutral, automated infrastructure layer.

Transfers2 does not:

  • Permanently store user files as an archival or backup service
  • Review, verify, validate or approve the content transferred by users
  • Monitor the substance of transferred files
  • Determine the purposes for which users process their data
  • Provide legal, financial, regulatory or compliance advice
  • Guarantee successful delivery, availability or permanent accessibility of transferred data

Transfers2 is not intended to replace a user's own backup, document-management, compliance or archival system.

3. User Responsibility

Users remain responsible for all files and data they upload, transmit, receive or otherwise process through Transfers2.

Users are responsible for:

  • The legality of their data and activities
  • Having an appropriate legal basis for processing personal data
  • Providing any required information or obtaining any required consent
  • Protecting confidential and sensitive information
  • Maintaining appropriate security measures
  • Maintaining independent backups where required
  • Complying with applicable laws and regulations

Users must not use Transfers2 for unlawful activities or to transmit content that violates applicable law or the rights of third parties.

4. Data Protection and GDPR

4.1 General principle

Transfers2 respects the privacy of its users and processes personal data in accordance with applicable data-protection legislation, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), where applicable.

The exact legal role of each party depends on the nature of the processing activity.

Where a customer determines the purposes and means of processing personal data contained in files transferred through the service, that customer may act as the data controller and Transfers2 may process such data on the customer's behalf as a technical service provider or processor, where legally applicable.

Transfers2 does not determine the purposes for which customers use the transferred content.

4.2 Temporary technical processing

To provide the service, Transfers2 may technically process or temporarily hold data where necessary for:

  • Uploading files
  • Routing files
  • Transmitting files
  • Generating transfer links
  • Delivering files to recipients
  • Applying technical security measures
  • Detecting and preventing technical abuse
  • Operating and maintaining the platform

Temporary technical handling does not mean that Transfers2 provides permanent storage or archival services.

4.3 Automatic deletion

Transfers2 may automatically delete transferred files and associated temporary data in accordance with the applicable transfer settings and technical retention periods.

Users should therefore never rely on Transfers2 as their sole backup or archival solution.

5. Personal Data We May Process

Depending on how the service is used, Transfers2 may process limited personal and technical information, including:

  • Name or account information where provided
  • Email address
  • IP address
  • Login and authentication information
  • Technical logs
  • Device and browser information
  • Transfer-related technical information
  • Information necessary to provide customer support
  • Billing and transaction information where applicable

Transfers2 aims to collect and retain only information that is reasonably necessary for operating, securing and improving the service and meeting applicable legal obligations.

6. Purposes of Processing

Personal data may be processed for the following purposes:

  • Providing the Transfers2 service
  • Creating and managing accounts
  • Processing transfers
  • Authenticating users
  • Providing customer support

  • Preventing fraud, abuse and unauthorized access
  • Diagnosing technical problems
  • Complying with legal obligations
  • Managing user preferences and consent
  • Improving the service where legally permitted

Transfers2 does not sell personal data to third parties.

7. Legal Basis for Processing

Where GDPR applies, Transfers2 processes personal data on one or more applicable legal bases, including:

  • Performance of a contract
  • Compliance with legal obligations
  • Legitimate interests
  • Consent, where consent is required

Where processing is based on consent, consent may be withdrawn at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

8. Data Security

Transfers2 applies reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect the service and information processed through it.

However, no internet service, network, server or digital transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Transfers2 therefore does not guarantee that:

  • Data will never be lost
  • Data will never be corrupted
  • Unauthorized access can never occur
  • The service will never experience a security incident
  • Every transfer will always be successful
  • The service will always be available

Users remain responsible for applying appropriate security measures to their own systems, accounts and data.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, no Service Level Agreement (SLA) applies.

Transfers2 should not be used as the sole system for mission-critical delivery, statutory retention, guaranteed document delivery or legally required archival storage.

18. No Storage or Backup Guarantee

Transfers2 is a transfer service and should not be considered a permanent storage, archival or backup provider.

Users must maintain their own independent backups where the data is important or legally required to be retained.

Transfers2 may delete temporary transfer data automatically or when necessary for operational, security or legal reasons.

19. Indemnification
